Although the single-player campaign is not particularly innovative, it’s familiar feeling makes for good fantasy strategy gaming comfort food.
The game takes place in a lush fantasy world where the player is tasked with controlling an empire of Men, Elves, Orcs, or other creatures in an attempt to achieve victory. Developed by Triumph Studios, the game presents an interesting mix of 4X elements and a strong tactical combat system. You can play the Dragon’s Throne versus AI opponents or in multiplayer with up to 8 players. The sages warn they risk unleashing the wrath of the Dragons, but the Lords pay no heed as they prepare for war. Now eight rival lords have found a mysterious dragon’s egg, and each sees it as proof of their claim to the Dragon’s Throne. The isles are still loaded with treasure and have become popular with adventures, merchants, scoundrels and sightseers.
